How to name the ODIN agents

The recommendation is built from method, not preference: brief first, territories mapped, candidates generated at volume, then scored as a family system.

The right route has to feel native to ODIN.The strongest answer is not the safest string of standalone names. It is the set that reads as one operating layer.
The right marks have to feel built from the same machine. The logo system carries the same argument as the names: one ODIN source shape, evolved into role-specific behaviours.
02Method spine

The process widened the field before it narrowed the decision.

The naming run followed the method deck in compressed form. The work starts with the brief, maps possible territories, generates without judgement, filters hard, then audits what survives.

01
Brief

Lock the jobs each agent must perform before names are generated.

02
Map

Explore mythology, systems, sound, measurement, craft and coined territory.

03
Diverge

Generate 693 candidates across independent frontier-model runs.

04
Filter

Apply Lexicon, SMILE/SCRATCH, sound and role-fit filters.

05
Audit

Stress-test the strongest routes for meaning, fluency and role fit.

03Decision standard

The final choice is a route decision, not a word-choice contest.

The scoring framework changed after review. Standalone fluency still matters, but the route has to work under the ODIN parent brand and teach cleanly.

Three tests decide the route.

Each candidate has to do its own job. The four names also have to work together as one family, with meaning that can be explained without strain.

Family coherenceThe set should sound like it belongs under ODIN.
Role precisionEach name must point to record, people, production or collective logic.
Teachable meaningObscurity can win when the explanation strengthens the system.
04Route evidence

One route to recommend, three genuine alternatives behind it.

Four options were taken forward: the Norse lineage route to recommend, then three routes that differ in kind, a coined set, a descriptive set and an instrument set. The lead route is strongest because it binds the ODIN parent brand to all four agent roles.

Lead route score
87

Highest revised score after family coherence, role fit and teachability were weighted properly.

RecommendedNorse lineageMimir · Lodur · Freki · Norn
87

Best ODIN-family system. It binds the parent brand to memory, human pulse, forward drive and the three-agent weave.

CoinedInvented wordsTrevoch · Weloru · Golvak · Corveth
72

Built words with no inherited meaning, the most ownable as trademarks. The trade is that each name has to be taught from scratch.

StructuralDescriptiveODIN Quality · People · Production · Core
68

The safe descriptive baseline. Plain role labels under the parent brand, zero ambiguity and zero story to carry the system.

InstrumentEvocative, non-NorseDatum · Relay · Takt · Register
74

Operational terms from measurement and the line floor. Evocative without leaning on ODIN's Norse lineage. Fresh route.

05Role logic

The route has to explain four jobs before the names appear.

The naming system works when a reader can understand the operating roles first. The words come after the logic is accepted.

Quality

The witness

Holds the record and turns evidence into cause.

People

The pulse

Supports capability, warmth and human context.

Production

The driver

Keeps the line moving until the loop closes.

Collective

The weave

Reads separate signals as one line state.

06The reveal

Lead with Mimir, Lodur, Freki and Norn.

This is the strongest ODIN-family route. The names carry memory, human pulse, forward drive and the three-agent weave.

Quality

Mimir

score 88 · Norse

The record keeper. Holds the evidence ODIN needs to explain what happened.

People

Lodur

score 82 · Norse

The human pulse. Warmth, colour and life-force for the agent that supports people.

Production

Freki

score 79 · Norse

The forward drive. Carries momentum, closure and line movement through production.

Collective

Norn

score 86 · Norse

The system-weaver. Three agents reading together as one operating layer.

Identity note: All four names now use the supplied ODIN-derived agent marks. Treat the artwork as directional: the system logic is right, while final optical tuning can still happen.
07Recommendation detail

The lead route wins because each name earns its role.

Why the route works

  • Mimir gives Quality the memory and record function.
  • Lodur gives People the human pulse: warmth, colour and life-force.
  • Freki gives Production forward drive through ODIN's own wolf lineage.
  • Norn explains why the three agents belong together.

What to resolve next

Test the full name and logo system in product navigation, operator-facing screens and sales-story moments, then tune the icon artwork as a family.

08Agent logo system

The marks should behave like one family, not four illustrations.

The strongest route is to build every agent mark from ODIN's own eye geometry. The outer circle carries parent-brand recognition; the inner metaball path changes by role, giving each agent a distinct behaviour without breaking the system.

Quality agent logo

Quality

Radial witness logic: the mark reads as attention, record and cause-finding from a central proof point.

People agent logo

People

Human signal logic: a warmer wave form gives the People agent movement, guidance and capability support.

Production agent logo

Production

Forward-drive logic: the angled path carries momentum, closure and line movement.

Collective agent logo

Collective

System-weave logic: the mark binds the three role paths into one line-state symbol without introducing a fourth metaphor.

One source geometry

Keep the ODIN eye circle, ring weight and inner field constant so every mark inherits parent-brand recognition.

One construction grid

Build each inner path on the same circular grid, with consistent stroke weight, node radius and clear-space rules.

One role behaviour

Let each agent express a different verb: witness, support, drive, connect. The role gesture is the differentiator.

09Assessment matrix

Every candidate remains inspectable.

The matrix is included for transparency. Each name opens its assessment: slot, theme, territory, score, meaning, sound, SMILE, SCRATCH, collision notes and verdict.
